These photographs are about the end of the industrial revolution and our place in contemporary society. Every background image originally was used as an instructional tool for primary school. These images have a view of the world that places them in the 1910’s and 1020’s – their time of manufacture. In my photographs, I try to re-interpret these views in a contemporary context. Our understanding of the world in the early 21st century in considerably more complex and inclusive. Photographs are printed on 20x24 silver gelatin paper
